The Great Goldfish Invasion of 2015

In Colorado, a reminder why it’s a bad idea to release unwanted pets into the wild.

About two years ago, Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials believe someone pulled up to Boulder’s Teller Lake and released several goldfish into the wild. As seen in the video above, the fish have sinced spawned into a massive school, a reminder that our favored aquarium mascots are actually descendants of a very invasive species: fish.
