John McCain Gets Yelled at Over Syria, Realizes That Talking Impeachment Will Fix Matters

Sept. 5: John McCain holds a town hall meeting where voters want to talk about Syria. He obliges. Cameras are on hand.

Sept. 6: McCain continues selling the plan on conservative talk radio.

No one wants American boots on the ground. Nor will there be American boots on the ground because there would be an impeachment of the president if they did that.

The impeachment comment, which is flitting around now, is best/only understood in the context of the senator, with a short time back in the district, trying to convince people that there won’t be a ground war. The difficulty of doing that, just 15 years after no-hassle missile strikes were the norm, is extraordinary.
