Post-election Mitt Romney seems a little bitter.
During a call to his big donors, the 2012 GOP presidential nominee claimed President Obama won his re-election largely because of “gifts” he had given blacks, hispanics, and young voters prior to the election. Romney claimed these gifts included free health care and “amnesty” to the children of illegal immigrants, according to an anonymous source on the call. And he failed to acknowledge any of his own missteps during the campaign.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a possible 2016 contender, became the first Republican to condemn Romney’s remarks, saying “we have to stop dividing American voters.”
Romney also apologized to his donors on the call for losing and claimed he wouldn’t run again, perhaps after looking at the exodus of Likes on his Facebook page.
