Please Don’t Hate Us, Pakistanis

If the Romney campaign could stop panning for the fool’s gold of old Obama tapes, this might be something to focus on.

Marked by the U.S. Embassy seal, advertisements condemning an anti-Islam video appeared on Pakistani television on Thursday in an apparent attempt to undercut anger against the United States, where the film was produced… The television ads in Pakistan feature clips of President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton during press appearances in Washington in which they condemned the video. Their words were subtitled in Urdu.

“We absolutely reject its content and message,” said Clinton in the advertisement.

A caption on the ad reads: “Paid Content.”

And here it is:

There is, I guess, a basic unfairness in watching people protest American embassies because a bizarre fraudstaer made and overdubbed an anti-Mohammed movie. But what about our tax dollars? Who’s the person motivated enough to protest or join some more serious threat to the United States by a movie, who will see this ad and say “oh, not you guys? I’ll just stay home, then.”
