Christian Heinze snaps the oddball moment from Mitt Romney’s speech to the Detroit Economic Club, held for inexplicable reasons at a football stadium. The line from the prepared, teleprompted text:

But are we missing something? Is this actually a brilliant pander? It’s not a new line; Romney was talking about his two-Cadillac household back in September, when Michigan looked to be an easy win for him. At least one of them is an SRX, the 2012 model of which starts at $35,000. Shaming wealthy people for doubling up on luxury American cars doesn’t make a ton of sense to me. Is it more elitist than we should demand from a president? I’ve got news for you: If Romney wins the big job, he gets his own plane, and we pay for it.
