CHARLESTON, S.C. – It costs $25,000 to get your name on South Carolina’s ballot. That’s if you get on early: Enter the race after May before a presidential election year, and you pay $35,000. Your prize: A ballot line that you keep long after you implode and leave the race. Here’s the 2012 menu:
