The Next Republican Congressman (Maybe) is Against Boehner’s Bill

Here’s how the Boehner plan is playing in the electoral arena right now. There are two special elections set for September 13 for open seats in Nevada and New York, vacated when Dean Heller became a senator and Anthony Weiner became a figure in slideshows of “the top 10 sex scandals of 2011.” The Nevada seat tilts strongly Republican. The party’s candidate, Mark Amodei, opposes the Boehner plan.

I do not support a proposal that raises the debt ceiling, as President Obama and Sen. Harry Reid, among others, have advocated for. Doing so would give President Obama and Senator Reid another credit extension to run up trillions more in debt that will be owed to countries like China.

He’s not kidding about this.
