Kerry-Edwards share of Jewish vote in 2004: 74 percent.

Obama-Biden share of Jewish vote in 2008: 78 percent.

Obama approval among Jewish voters in June 2011: 60 percent.

In retrospect – and it didn’t take a lot of retrospect – that Middle East policy speech was one of the great own-goals of the Obama presidency.
