Katie Holmes’ new movie,
The Son of No One
, may be Sundance 2011’s first bomb. According to the Hollywood Reporter, when the New York crime drama was screened to press and industry, some left long before the lights came up. (One observer called it an “exodus.”) The film boasts other high-profile stars, including Al Pacino, Channing Tatum, and, in a surprising dramatic turn, Tracy Morgan. The thud at Sundance comes on the heels of other bad career news for Holmes, who had a starring role in the miniseries
, which the History Channel abandoned earlier this year.
