San Francisco Bay Area–based Elliot Lim has designed an animated homage to the opening credits of HBO’s The Wire set to “Way Down in the Hole” by the Blind Boys of Alabama.
While visual aesthetics were never the main reason fans loved The Wire, Lim’s short animated take on the show’s opening credits elevates with smooth production values and gorgeous design that rings true to the spirit of the original in a way that is guaranteed to make fans nostalgic.
