The Barack Obama farewell tour of the past few months has been marked by inspiring speeches, memorable late-night TV appearances, and lots (and lots) of Trump-bashing. But it can be easy to forget that while the president is both an eloquent speaker and a distinguished statesman, he’s also a father of two—and he can get, well, a little awkward.

Both Barack and Michelle got into the beat—but the president, dorkily swaying from side to side, couldn’t exactly match the first lady in rhythm or confidence. Eventually he just looked on, watching his wife in admiration—just as the country has done time and time again.
