On Tuesday night, The Tonight Show brought us another one of its trademark a cappella mini-concerts, this time featuring Jimmy Fallon, the Roots, and most of the cast from The Force Awakens performing all of the Star Wars franchise’s best songs.
The opening title theme? Of course. Imperial March? Naturally. Cantina song? Yup. The performances from newcomers Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendolyn Christie, and BB-8 are charming enough, but there’s something even more special about seeing old-timers like Carrie Fisher, C-3PO, R2-D2, and Harrison Ford—yes, even Harrison Ford—come on screen to close the whole thing out. Obvious question: Why wasn’t Mark Hamill there? Perhaps he really has joined the Dark Side after all.
