Dec. 13 marks one year since Beyoncé “stopped the world” with her surprise self-titled visual album. To celebrate that milestone, Beyoncé has released a new 11-minute short film titled Yours and Mine that reflects on the past year of her life. Set to outtakes and scenes from several videos on the visual album, Beyoncé talks about how fame makes you a “property of the public,” as well as her “complicated” past, her definition of feminism, and more.
She doesn’t drop any hints about a follow-up album. But the short film is a lovely and candid soliloquy from a star who generally goes to great lengths to protect her privacy.
