Did You See This? The Flaming Lips Sing with Siri (of iPhone Fame) and Erykah Badu

The most attention-grabbing bit of this new song by the Flaming Lips is probably the part sung by Siri, aka the voice technology that comes with the iPhone, but it’s a lovely bit of atmospheric vocal pop regardless of where the voices come from. Siri leads the track, addressing Wayne Coyne, lead songwriter for the Lips. “Wayne,” she says, “I don’t understand. The moon, the stars, and the sun.” Erykah Badu answers with something like, “And they’re the stars, and the sun.”

Her voice apparently teaches Siri the mysteries of the universe, as the robotic voice replies, “Wayne, now I understand.”

And supposedly Biz Markie’s voice is in here backwards somewhere, but I missed it. Can you hear him? (Via Stereogum.)
