CHART: Android and iOS Extending Their Dominance

Via Kay Steiger, Nielsen shows that as the smartphone market has grown, it also seems to have grown more concentrated in the hands of iOS and Android, as Blackberry and Windows Mobile both show much smaller market share among recent purchases than is reflected in the base of legacy installations. One of the biggest business stories of 2012 will be Microsoft’s effort to get back in the game, with its new Lumia phones from Nokia.
