Slate’s Mistakes for the Week of Jan. 30

In a Feb. 1 Metropolis, Henry Grabar mistakenly wrote that Atherton, California, has a CalTrain station. That station closed in 2020.

In a Jan. 31 Medical Examiner, Tim Requarth misstated the difference between two percentages as being a percent difference. The difference is actually measured in percentage points.

In a Jan. 30 Sports, Alex Kirshner misstated the score of the AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals as 24–21. It was 23–20.

A Jan. 25 Television by Cameron Gorman incorrectly referred to the title character as having no first name. His first name is Frank.
