Slate’s Mistakes for the Week of Sept. 19

In a Sept. 23 Future Tense, Stephen J. Downs misspelled Jony Ive’s first name.

Due to an editing error, a Sept. 23 Wide Angle misspelled Rabia Chaudry’s last name.

In a Sept. 20 Jurisprudence, Robert Katzberg misspelled Rudy Giuliani’s first name.

In a Sept. 19 Jurisprudence, Charles F. Coleman Jr. misstated that the poverty rate in the state of Georgia is 46 percent. It’s 14 percent.

In a Sept. 18 Books, Rebecca Onion misspelled Rob Harvilla’s last name.

In a Sept. 16 Movies, Ana Lucia Araujo misstated that the historical kingdom of Oyo was located in what is today southeastern Nigeria. It was located in what is now southwestern Nigeria.
