Slate’s Mistakes for the Week of July 25

In a July 28 Future Tense, Orna Ophir misstated that people with schizophrenia are 10 percent more likely to die by suicide. A common estimate is that 10 percent of those diagnosed with schizophrenia die by suicide.

In a July 24 Movies, Nadira Goffe misstated that Keke Palmer portrayed T-Boz in the film CrazySexyCool. She portrayed Chilli.

In a July 22 Movies, Dan Kois misspelled author Dashiell Hammett’s last name.

In a July 18 Movies, Dana Stevens misstated that the character Lloyd Hansen’s castle is in the Czech Republic. It’s in Croatia.

In a July 13 Politics, Leah Sottile misidentified the band the Descendents as the Descendants.
