Slate’s Mistakes for the Week of May 30

In a June 1 History, Leslie Reagan misidentified Justice Samuel Alito as Robert Alito and misstated the year of Madame Restell’s death. It was 1878, not 1847.

In a May 31 Science, Nitish Pahwa misstated that nuclear fusion is a viable power source. Nuclear fission is a viable power source; nuclear fusion is still in the research stage.
