Slate’s Mistakes for the Week of April 4

In an April 7 Sports, Jim Newell misidentified the Masters’ par-5 eighth hole as its sixth.

In an April 6 Science, Sarah Braner misstated that the Capitol Hill fox had to be tested for rabies because it bit people without being provoked. The fox would have been put down even if those bites were not provoked, because fox populations are a reservoir for rabies.
