Slate’s Mistakes for the Week of Oct. 25

In an Oct. 30 History, William Hogeland mischaracterized Gordon Wood as describing the 1619 Project as drawing from the last 50 years of historical scholarship, when it was the last 30 years.

In an Oct. 30 Music, Chris Molanphy misspelled Adele’s surname. It’s Adkins, not Atkins.

In an Oct. 27 Faith-Based, Molly Olmstead misspelled Breonna Taylor’s first name.

In an Oct. 25 Jurisprudence, Caroline Light and Janae E. Thomas misspelled Trayvon Martin’s first name and Derek Chauvin’s first name.
