Slate’s Mistakes for the Week of Aug. 30

In a Sept. 2 Slatest, Elliot Hannon misstated that the National Weather Service issued its first-ever flash flood warning for New York City. It was the city’s first flash flood emergency.

Due to a transcription error, an Aug. 30 the World misstated that interviewee Colin Clarke said the U.S. was fighting a series of 21-year wars. He said the U.S. was fighting a series of 20 one-year wars.
