Slate’s Mistakes for the Week of Aug. 2

An Aug. 6 One Day show page misspelled Donna Summer’s last name.

In an Aug. 6 Politics, Aymann Ismail misspelled Elliot Rodger’s last name.

In an Aug. 5 Sports, Alex Kirshner misstated that out-of-geographic-market sports fans had to either buy a streaming channel subscription or only watch occasional nationally televised games. A third option for such fans is sometimes to buy cable package add-ons, such as MLB Extra Innings or NFL Sunday Ticket.

In an Aug. 4 Metropolis, Henry Grabar misspelled Michele Smith’s first name and misidentified Andy Friedman of Kiser Group as Andy Kiser.

In an Aug. 4 Work, Angela Lashbrook misidentified Kenneth Leonard as a psychiatrist. He is a clinical psychologist.

In an Aug. 3 Slatest, Daniel Politi misspelled Kristen Metzger’s last name.

In an Aug. 1 Five-Ring Circus, Rebecca Schuman misspelled Rayderley Zapata’s first name.
