Slate’s Mistakes for the Week of Sept. 2

In a Sept. 4 Slatest, Ben Mathis-Lilley misstated the year that the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq was passed. It was 2002, not 2016.

In a Sept. 3 Faith-Based, Ruth Graham misstated that Theodore McCarrick was the first cardinal in history to resign. He was the first cardinal to resign over sexual abuse allegations.

Slate strives to correct all errors of fact. If you’ve seen an error in our pages, let us know at General comments should be posted in our Comments sections associated with each article.
