Last year, Chance the Rapper and Jeremih gifted fans with Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama, a mixtape full of original holiday earworms. In 2017, they’ve done it again with the deluxe edition, Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama: Re-Wrapped, featuring an additional nine new songs (and one remix of a song from the original album) to blast as you enjoy the seasonal festivities over the next few days. As returning guest star Hannibal Buress quips at the beginning of “Lil Bit”: “I guess these motherfuckers just really love Christmas!”
The artists don’t disappoint, with highlights including “Down Wit That” and the Migos-like “Let It Snow,” which thankfully sounds nothing like the “Let It Snow” you’re probably sick of hearing at this point. Chance also brings in his signature gospel flavor on “Family For,” and gets serious on the emotional “One More Cry,” an ode to a lost loved one. Check out the mixtape below.
