Bowie Does Rocky Horror

Last weekend John Cameron Mitchell, the writer, director, and star of the glam-rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, received two awards at the Sundance Film Festival. In 1998 Mitchell, then starring in the off-Broadway production of Hedwig, wrote a Slate "Diary." "On our way back up to the dressing room," he wrote, "a very cute Israeli cornered me. He had just seen the show and tried to pull me into his hotel room. I considered this a rave." (Read the "Diary" here.)
