In the afternoon edition of the Aug. 28 "Slatest," Jeremy Singer-Vine originally stated that Ikea changed the font of its logo. The change applied only to Ikea's product typeface such as the text in its catalogs.

In an Aug. 28 "War Stories," Fred Kaplan referred to North Vietnamese Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap when he meant to refer to North Vietnamese Army Col. Nguyen Don Tu.

In the Aug. 27 "Movies" on the film Taking Woodstock, Dana Stevens misspelled the name of singer Janis Joplin.

In the Aug. 25 "DVD Extras," Seth Stevenson misspelled the actor Patricia Wettig's name.

In the Aug. 21 "Spectator," Ron Rosenbaum misstated the name of nuclear-posture critic Daryl Kimball, calling him Daryl Miller.

In the Aug. 21 "Movies," Dana Stevens stated that Bruno Ganz was a German actor. He is Swiss.

In the Aug. 21 "Explainer," Kim Gittleson wrote that the euro was introduced in 2000 instead of 2002.
