
Elia Kazan Rests in Peace
Updated Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at 4:22 PM ETElia Kazan, the director of East of Eden and A Streetcar Named Desire, died Sunday. In 1999 Jacob Weisberg wrote about Kazan's honorary Oscar and his controversial legacy as a reformed communist and proud collaborator during the McCarthy era.
