Posted Tuesday, July 17, 2001, at 3:00 AM ETOn Monday the New York Times reported that Al Dunlap, whose former employer, Sunbeam, has accused him of accounting fraud, had erased two previous management jobs from his résumé—and that one employer had also accused him of accounting fraud. In 1997, Slate's David Plotz assessed Dunlap, "the chainsaw capitalist." (Click here for the article.) In 1998, James Surowiecki wrote a series of articles on Dunlap's downfall.
