From yesterday's New York Times: "Veto of Bill on CIA Tactics Affirms Bush's Legacy."
Which legacy would that be, I wonder? A "legacy of fighting for strong executive powers," suggests the Times.
That sounds so innocuous. Probably more accurate to say that for reasons unknown, Bush is determined to go down in history as the first president to openly order and justify torture.
